You can edit design elements within your mobile and desktop site designs at the same time, or split them to edit both independently to quickly and easily customize your site and speed up your workflows.

Splitting or Merging Your Settings

This can be done in the design app by hovering over a design feature in the right side Properties Panel and clicking on the three dots that appear.

Note: Selecting "Split Mobile & Desktop" for one kind of setting for a design element will only split that specific setting on that element.

Example: If you would like to split the color and font of a text box, you will need to toggle the "Split Mobile & Desktop" function for both color and font.

Clicking on these three dots will cause a drop down to appear that will give you one of three options:

  • Split Mobile & Desktop

  • Merge Using Mobile

  • Merge Using Desktop

This function is available for most design features for every element within the design app.

Where You can Split or Sync Your Design Features

You can split or sync the design settings found under each of these tabs below, and also in your Design Settings within the design app. Each of these tabs can be found in the right side Properties Panel when the corresponding item has been selected.

Split Setting Between Mobile & Desktop

Most design features will have the mobile and desktop versions synchronized by default, so if you wanted to split the mobile and desktop versions, simply click on three dots to the right of the design feature that you would like to separate and choose Split Mobile & Desktop from the drop down menu that appears.

Once you have done this, you will see a mobile and a desktop icon appear. You can select one of these options to allow you to make changes to that version of your site respectively.

Example: Splitting the mobile and desktop settings for the color of a text box

Merge Setting Using Mobile Value

If you would like to merge the settings of the design feature once more so that your mobile and desktop designs match, you will have to use the settings for either the mobile or desktop version.

To merge the design elements using your Mobile settings, click on the mobile icon and then click on the three dots once more. The drop down menu will now say Merge Using Mobile. Selecting this option will paste the mobile settings for that design element to your desktop design.

Merge Setting Using Desktop Value

To merge your design elements using your Desktop settings, click on the desktop icon and then click on the three dots again. The drop down will now say Merge Using Desktop. Selecting this option will paste the desktop settings for that design element to your mobile design.
