Customizing the canvas backgrounds within your site is a great way to add a unique look and feel to your site that will set it apart from the others. Whether you want to use your brand colors to help set the theme of your site, set a background image to display your work full screen, or even add a video to make your site come alive.
Canvas Background Types
Solid Color
Images as Canvas Backgrounds
Typically, most canvases in your design will be set by default to a solid color option. Some canvases may utilize a canvas background image to create a visual impact with something like a large hero image. If you see an image on a canvas that takes up the entire canvas and which you cannot click to select, that is likely a canvas background image.
You can access the image by clicking the canvas it's on, and then going to the Canvas Background tab in the Properties Panel on the right.
Videos as Canvas Backgrounds
Canvas background videos are a really great way to bring a fun and engaging element to your site. Perhaps it shows you at work, doing what you do best, or maybe showcasing your beautiful product.

Scroll Effects
If you have set an image or video as your canvas background, you will be able to set a scroll effect to change the way the background scrolls in relation to your page. You can find out more about this setting here:
Sync or Split Canvas Background Settings
By default, your canvas background settings will likely be synced. You can adjust the settings on your mobile and desktop designs independently syncing or splitting your settings function. To do so, simply hover over the Media Type or Fill options and then click on the three dots to the right of that option. Then click Split Mobile & Desktop in the drop down that appears.
You can then click between the mobile and desktop icons, so that you can customize your mobile and desktop canvas backgrounds independently.
