In the design settings you can replace the default colors in the color palette and the default fonts with your brand fonts and colors. See exactly how to do that in this video.

Site Style and Fonts

This article covers all of the settings that you will find in the SITE STYLE tab of the Design Settings. If you would like to learn more about the FONTS tab, click here:

Color Palette

To assign your brand colors to the Design Settings Color Palette click on the SITE tab in the upper section of the left panel of Showit and then select DESIGN SETTINGS. This will drop down a window with 2 tabs: SITE STYLE and FONTS.

You can set 8 colors for repeated and easy access use inside of the designer. The 8 colors you set will be available inside of the right side Properties Panel as you are customizing elements including text, shapes and icons within your site.

To change a color, select the corresponding box in your Color Palette and set the desired color by using the color picker, entering a hex code, or using the color dropper to find a specific pixel's color.

Type Styles

In the same Design Settings window you can assign (for both Mobile and Desktop) a specific font and type settings for Title, Header, Subheading and Paragraph.

Selecting one of these categories will allow you to customize it's Color, Font, Size, Line Height, Letter Spacing, Letter Case, Bottom Margin, and Alignment that will be formatted that way every time you insert a new text box.

You also have the option to choose how you would like the Inline Links to look across your site, with options to customize the Color, Format, Hover Color, and Hover Format.

Sync or Split Your Design Settings

If you would like to make changes to the Type Styles on either your desktop OR mobile design but not on both, you can change them independently by hovering over the text element that you would like to split (i.e. Color, Font, Size, etc.) and clicking on the three dots to the right of the text. Then choose to Split Mobile & Desktop.

From there, you will see an icon for either the desktop or mobile design. You can edit one without changing the other by clicking these icons.

If you would like to merge these settings once more, you can do so by clicking either the mobile icon or the desktop icon, and then choose to Merge these settings.

For every setting that you would like to edit independently on desktop or mobile, you will need to split that setting.

Note: If you choose to merge while you have the desktop icon selected, it will merge both of these layouts using the desktop settings. If you choose to merge while you have the mobile icon selected, it will merge both of these layouts using the mobile settings.

Global Styles

The Global Styles setting at the bottom of the Site Style menu will allow you to change the background color for new pages and canvases, so that every time you create a new canvas it defaults to being that color.
