Scrolling canvas views opens up creative possibilities for multi-directional scrolling within a canvas. This effect can be applied to a single element, group, or all elements within a canvas view.
Note: This feature is only available to sites locked to the v2 publishing engine. You can lock a design into the v2 publishing engine within Site Settings.
Initial Setup
The Scrolling Canvas Views setting can be applied to any canvas within the Properties panel on the right.
This setting is supported on both desktop and mobile, and it can be split between the two views. If you're looking for traditional scrolling on mobile, but horizontal scrolling on desktop, they can be setup separately.
Direction
Once the Canvas Type is selected, choose the direction in which you'd like the elements to scroll.
Canvas Views
Setting up scrolling canvas views can be done within new canvases, as well as existing canvases.
Note: The feature will only impact elements within canvas views. All elements outside of a canvas view will maintain their static scrolling as expected.
Canvases with the Scrolling Canvas View setting will stick to the top of the screen on scroll. At that point, the directional scrolling of elements within canvas views will be triggered. The canvas will continue scrolling normally once the elements in the final canvas view have hit their anchor point on the page.
Spacing
Condensed: Removes the extra space between views. Makes the sequence feel like one wide canvas. This is the default setting.
Window: Each view expands to fill the browser window.
Pro Tip: 'Window' is a great option when each view has it's own background image or color.
