Embedding your ConvertKit forms into your Showit site is simple.
Create Your ConvertKit Form
First log into ConvertKit and select Grow from the top menu, then choose Landing Pages & Forms.
From this page click + Create New
Select the Form option.
Choose between the four options for how you would like your pop up to display.
Then choose a template to start customizing your form.
Once you have customized your ConvertKit form, you'll be ready to embed it into your Showit site!
Not Seeing Your Form in Preview
By default, your form will be set to show for a visitor once every 15 days. This means that once it shows on your site for an individual, it will not show for them for another 15 days. This setting can be found in Form Settings > General at the bottom of the menu.
The same is true for the Showit Preview. Once your form has been previewed, it will not show again for another 15 days. If you would like, you can still preview your form by opening your preview in an incognito window. To do this, preview your site, then right click the Preview URL and choose to Open Link in Incognito Window.
Note: If you would like your form to display every time a visitor views your site (and every time you preview your site) go to Form Settings > General, scroll to the bottom, and set it to Once every 0 days.
Embed Your ConvertKit Form in Showit
Once your form is finished, Publish your form by clicking the button in the top right corner, then pick HTML. Click the COPY button to copy the entire code and take it to the Showit Design App.
Once you have the embed code for your form copied, head over to the Showit Design App, select the canvas you would like to add the form to, click on the Element Icon in the Bottom Toolbar, and choose the Embed Code option as shown below.
Click on the newly added embed code box that appears, and paste the code from ConvertKit into the Custom Code box in the right side Properties Panel and choose to Save.
That will do it! Your form will load in the widget container and you can resize it as needed.
