As a designer, it's important to be able to assist your client and guide them towards the best path forward.

Showit does have limitations on media storage size and traffic with each plan. You can read about the specific limits of our standard and high traffic plans at https://showit.com/pricing

You can help prepare your client for the correct plan by first performing an assessment of their current website, prior to subscribing to Showit.

Determine Current Blog Size

Your client should contact their current hosting provider to get information about their current storage usage.

Note: If the client has a backup plugin running and it's storing that backup on the same server, they can exclude the storage used by that plugin.

Determine Current Site Traffic

User Has Google Analytics:

Most users use Google Analytics to record site visits to their site. You can pull the following report for the last 90 days(to get a monthly average) to look at the Sessions and Engaged Sessions numbers. Typically the actual traffic that Showit tracks is an average of those two numbers because we don't include bot traffic.

Please save a 90 day snapshot for Showit to review by following these steps:
Go to Google Analytics and then...

  1. Click on Reports > Acquisition > Traffic acquisition

  2. Adjust the date range to cover the last 90 days.

  3. Click the Share icon (3 connected dots) on the top right. Click the Download File > Download PDF option.

  4. Send the report to Showit support for review to help determine the best subscription plan based upon the traffic load.

User is on Squarespace:

Users migrating from Squarespace can find the total number of Visits by going to their current site analytics.

We're also happy to help guide you if you have questions based upon some of the information you gathered.
