In your Design Settings you can replace your site's Brand Colors, Type Style, Fonts and Buttons to match your site's unique brand style.

Brand Colors

You can customize your design's colors palette to hand pick the perfect brand colors for your site. To do so, open up your Design Settings in the top left corner of Showit.

In your Design Settings under the Brand Colors tab, you can set 8 colors for repeated and use across your design as you customize it. The 8 colors you set will be available inside of the right side Properties Panel as you are customizing elements including text, shapes and icons within your site.

To change a color, select it on the left under the Colors column, and choose the desired color using the color picker, entering a hex code, or using the color dropper to find a specific color in or out of the app. You can see how this will affect your site as you fine tune your site's Brand Colors.

From this tab you can select which page you'd like to preview, and scroll through to see how adjusting your brand colors will affect your site, before saving any changes.

Type Style

In the same Design Settings menu you can assign (for both Mobile and Desktop) specific fonts and settings for Title, Header, Subheading and Paragraph text.

Selecting one of these categories will allow you to customize it's Color, Font, Size, Line Height, Letter Spacing, Letter Case, Bottom Margin, and Alignment that will be formatted that way every time you insert a new text box.

You also have the option to choose how you would like the Inline Links to look across your site, with options to customize the Color, Format, Hover Color, and Hover Format.

Global Styles

The Global Styles setting at the bottom of the Type Style tab will allow you to change the background color for new pages and canvases, so that every time you create a new blank canvas or page it will default to that color.

Fonts

The Fonts section of your Design Settings is where you can add new Google Fonts or Custom Fonts to use in your design.

Buttons

The Buttons tab of your Design Settings is where you can set default customization for your the buttons within your site. This means that when you add a new button to your page, it will use these styling options by default, and you can further customize it on your page if you'd like.

Sync or Split Your Design Settings

If you would like to make changes to the Type Style on either your desktop OR mobile design but not on both, you can change them independently by hovering over the text element that you would like to split (i.e. Color, Font, Size, etc.) and clicking on the three dots to the right of the text. Then choose to Split Mobile & Desktop.

From there, you will see an icon for either the desktop or mobile design. You can edit one without changing the other by clicking these icons.

If you would like to merge these settings once more, you can do so by clicking either the mobile icon or the desktop icon, and then choose to Merge these settings.

For every setting that you would like to edit independently on desktop or mobile, you will need to split that setting.

Note: If you choose to merge while you have the desktop icon selected, it will merge both of these layouts using the desktop settings. If you choose to merge while you have the mobile icon selected, it will merge both of these layouts using the mobile settings.

If you haven't yet visited our training page we highly suggest starting there to build the foundational knowledge you need to launch the site of your dreams with Showit!
